Restoration Projects

Restoration projects play an important part of Hamilton’s background and growth. His experience in the field of reconstruction has been steadily built up over the last 15 years.

Alexander Hamilton did not train as a restorer but has worked in collaboration with restoration teams on numerous projects. He is often called in by architects and clients to join the missing dots.

Quite often rooms might have suffered such extensive damage that the decoration is beyond salvation. The missing sections can be matched, and using the original materials they are painted back to match the original.
Traditional materials insure that once repaired, the repainted sections will age like the walls adjoining them.

Sometimes tiny fragments of old decoration can be enough to reconstruct a theme or a pattern for a whole room. This often helps with historical accuracy and often adds a quirky aspect that might otherwise have been overseen or dismissed.
